Liminal Tide
Photographic Art by Kevin Gorton.
Authentic artwork situated at the threshold between observation and experience.
The work emerges from sustained attention, primarily to ocean and sky - not as subjects to be recorded, but as experiences to be entered. Images are made slowly, in moments of presence, the resulting works resemble the way places are held in memory, and speak with a dream-like quality.
The ocean and sky are treated as luminous fields - constantly shifting, never fixed - mirroring the impermanent nature of experience itself.
Liminal Tide is guided by a quiet, contemplative approach - each image is an act of attention, shaped by the subtle rhythms of weather, water, light, and the inner experience.
The work invites the viewer into a pause: a moment of openness, of stillness in motion, where seeing becomes sensing, and memory becomes fluid.
